Tesla asked us to create an easy-to-replicate style of car photos for their sales teams across the United States. Camera phones were often used for their web sales, however this produced inconsistent results. Most Tesla sales are online so this problem had to be addressed to ensure that the cars did not outshine each other because of  inconsistent photography.

For the first set of images, Tesla handed me the keys to Elon Musk’s personal Tesla Roadster. To quote Ferris Bueller, “It is SO choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”

SHOT SHOW FAVORITES written by Tweedy Cudal

February 1st, 2014

Here are some of the favorite products we saw at SHOT this year. We honestly cannot wait til next year. See you then!

DSC_2518The lens Light booth was our favorite flashlight store. We fell in love with the ability to focus the lil thing from wide to a more definite beam.

DSC_2521

DSC_2563The SPHINX, in our opinion, was the best new handgun we tried this year. The ergonomics of the pistol was perfect. Too bad this is a bit hard to get out in California or we’d definitely have a couple.

DSC_2653

DSC_2673Geissele. Mated with our friends’ from CMC’s lowers- result in nothing but the best AR15’s.

DSC_2683We found this at a party late at night, not on the SHOW floors- A completely titanium lower receiver. Get one here!

Something New…

December 16th, 2013

I worked on this Business Profile for Johnny Bonnet of Black Center Tactical at his home in Norco. I’d bore you with the details, but Johnny can do a better job explaining what he does than I do!

If you enjoy the video, please don’t hesitate to share or send us your feedback or encouragement.

SMG LEE Rifle Course written by Tweedy Cudal

November 9th, 2013

We got some shots from SMG LEE’s carbine course. As always, we had a great time and learned very much. If you’re in the socal area and need some training, we suggest hitting up Chen on his facebook (link here: http://on.fb.me/ZRPn6S ). (Images by 19D Photography, website under construction)

The day starts off with a safety brief, and from there, depending on the class- you cover either basics or more advanced curriculum. Chen is great at spotting each shooter’s weaknesses- and will quickly step aside to correct them. He usually has one or two extra instructors at the site to continue supervision while he adjusts and corrects students.

Portraits in all the wrong ways.

August 30th, 2013

S0metimes the best way to enjoy going to work is to shake things up.

While I prank the heck out of my coworkers sometimes, sometimes going nuts and having fun WITH my work is a great way to release some stress…

Check out our workplace shenanigans!

Stippled Magazines (with a twist.)

May 25th, 2013

I’m a huge Walking Dead fan. When I they went off the air, there was a two hour block of time that I needed to fill. So either I ate, or I started another hobby…

stippled magazines, weapon photographer, tactical photography

tactical photographer, stippled magazines, ar15 photography, weapon photographer, product photos

Stippling is a great way to add some extra friction to magazines or other plastics (or whatever material you can pull it off with). The friction added will aid in retention to the item when it’s wet or maybe grip is a bit awkward.

My hands sweat alot, and for the most part I wish I could go ahead and stipple everything I own.

view my write up on how to stipple your own plastics!

Enjoy your stay!

SMG LEE and HoTac hosts LAPD range course

May 13th, 2013

A couple of my friends, SMG LEE and Andrew from HoTac hosted a small event for the LAPD this past month.

Chris, one of the best LAPD instructors, was an excellent teacher. The size of the class allowed him to scrutinize and focus on what needed to be changed with people’s shooting behavior.

If you’re in Law Enforcement or someone interested in shooting classes, please don’t hesitate to contact me for more info!

Ahmad Lewis

March 13th, 2013

We Photographed Ahmad for the release of his new movie, Good Meat Makes Good Gravy late last year.

If you’re not sure who Ahmad is, click this link. For his hit song, “Back in the Day.”

We selected the Disney Music Hall as it seemed appropriate for his clean and artistic demeanor.

Veteran Photoshoot at Cypress College

February 13th, 2013

(images taken from my other blog, JohnCudal.com)

I had the chance to team up with the Cypress College Veterans Organization (CCVO) and photograph some of the strongest women in the world.

For one morning, we pampered these ladies. Provided them breakfast, brought in professionals for back rubs, and a make over.

I donated my services to CCVO so that the female Vets can have a portrait of themselves after their makeover.

Don’t let the term “female Veterans,” fool you. While some are finished with their service, some of the ladies are either in the inactive phase of their contract or still play an active part in protecting our freedom.

For all the sacrifices these ladies gave, one morning is nothing compared to the countless days they put on the line for our freedom.

The CCVO plays a very active role in supporting various veterans get the education and support that they deserve. On weekends you may find the members of the CCVO giving back through various acts of community service, taking part in charity events and finding any way to help those around them.
