Something New…

December 16th, 2013

I worked on this Business Profile for Johnny Bonnet of Black Center Tactical at his home in Norco. I’d bore you with the details, but Johnny can do a better job explaining what he does than I do! If you enjoy the video, please don’t hesitate to share or send us your feedback or encouragement. […]

I’m a huge Walking Dead fan. When I they went off the air, there was a two hour block of time that I needed to fill. So either I ate, or I started another hobby…

stippled magazines, weapon photographer, tactical photography

tactical photographer, stippled magazines, ar15 photography, weapon photographer, product photos

Stippling is a great way to add some extra friction to magazines or other plastics (or whatever material you can pull it off with). The friction added will aid in retention to the item when it’s wet or maybe grip is a bit awkward.

My hands sweat alot, and for the most part I wish I could go ahead and stipple everything I own.

view my write up on how to stipple your own plastics!

Enjoy your stay!

Ahmad Lewis

March 13th, 2013

We Photographed Ahmad for the release of his new movie, Good Meat Makes Good Gravy late last year. If you’re not sure who Ahmad is, click this link. For his hit song, “Back in the Day.” We selected the Disney Music Hall as it seemed appropriate for his clean and artistic demeanor.

100% Combat Veteran Owned, Ares Armor

January 16th, 2012

Ares Armor is operated by Combat Veterans, some who just came back from Afghanistan as some of these photos were being taken. Although lighthearted and goofy at times, Dimitri and his guys at Ares Armor are dead serious about the equipment they provide to our troops.

These guys are nothing short of amazing. Offering a lifetime warranty on their products, and if purchased face to face, will take the time to go ahead and train you on how to use the item.

Shoot with them is always a blast, the jokes are hilarious and come at a never ending rate.

Timeless Beauty | Modern Muscle.

January 10th, 2012

This datsun Z is a timeless japanese car infused with modern technology. Equipped with an engine from a Nissan Skyline, this beast is happy to ruin any unsuspecting street racer’s day.

Debuted in the 70s with about 151 horses.

This custom/restored Z has a bit more punch than most sports cars today.

Check it out. My year. In Photos.

December 31st, 2011

A couple weeks ago, I was on the iPad2 on some Reader App looking through Time Magazine, LIFE Magazine and some other publication’s”Year in Photos”. And it gave me an idea, I’ve had a long year, and it’s really been crazy. I haven’t had two projects that were the same, it’s all be such a great and wonderful experience. If we didn’t have calendars, I wouldn’t know where to start.

If we didn’t have calendars, I wouldn’t know where to start.

Under each photo there’ll be a short story about why I picked it as my favorite photo.

los angeles corporate portrait photographerThe Dentist- She was amazing to work with, she initially wanted just a regular portrait session, but after talking for a few minutes, I was able to convince her to let me sit in and photographer her at work.

The Last Dance, from Alex and Espy’s Wedding. I noticed this gentleman pushing his wife into the wedding venue earlier that day. She spent most of the day in her wheelchair, but when they played the last song, she whispered something to her husband and he helped her up. Alex and Espy told me that she had been battling cancer for quite some time and that their wedding was the first time she got out in a very long time.

Sheree. Me and her go back all the way through high school. After I switched in during the middle of my Junior year, I didn’t know a soul. Sheree was quick to make friends with me and keep me company.

military family photographerPinky+Stinky 365. Communication.  A memory straight from my head. After a long day of training we were sometimes rewarded with the opportunity to write back to our loved ones. Most of the writing that occured during lights out took place under a red light to prevent others from waking up. This photo involved zero photoshop work, it was shot in a single frame.

apple valley weddingsMTV from Josh and Theresa’s wedding. MTV gave me a call asking if I had any younger clients who were interested in having their wedding day. I had never worked with such a large entity during a wedding with over 6 videographers and a crane operator, and it was definitely experience. This gentleman is a sound technician partaking in some red velvet cake, note the cheeky wedding attire.

september

rifle photosBOOM! The guys at Ares Armor brought me out to a private range in Southern California. I was there to take some video footage of the group for an instructional video for their sling. I’ve been around guns before, but never as a photographer, standing next to what people are shooting at.(No photographers were harmed during that day.)

october

los angeles car photographer4 car pile up. We had just gotten on the freeway, then traffic abruptly stopped. I was able to stop within inches of hitting the car in front of me, but the driver four cars behind me had no such luck. He ended up causing a chain reaction that would delay our photo session for that night.

november

los angeles wedding photosthe boot. I didn’t think it was possible, but this image marked my first year focusing on weddings primarily. I still photograph other things, but 80% of my work is wedding related.

September 30th, 2011

I attended my first parade this year. It was the Golden Dragon Parade on Broadway for the the Chinese New Year.

I was invited by Garrick of “They Shoot Film” an art collective spanning across the country.

We started the morning off at the Golden Dragon Restaurant for some dim-sum.

After our delicious lunch, we hit the streets for some good ol’ fashion, people watching.

Red was the theme of the day, however that doesn’t mean it lacked colors.  The people of Los Angeles brought their own eclectic twist on the Festival.

Everyone and their mother was there! Street Vendors, photographers, families, high school bands, people who brought Japanese umbrellas, the mayor, and kung fu fighting kids!
